As a multidisciplinary peer-reviewed journal committed to maintaining high academic and ethical publishing standards, AJAST continuously seeks experienced professionals to support the journal’s rigorous review process and enhance the quality of scholarly communication. AJAST aims to strengthen its global academic presence by engaging competent reviewers from diverse research domains in accordance with internationally recognized scholarly publishing practices and indexing standards.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree or equivalent doctoral qualification from a recognized institution or serve as a Professor/Associate Professor in an accredited academic or research institution. Candidates are expected to demonstrate significant research, teaching, or industrial experience within their area of specialization. The applicant’s research background should align with the scope and disciplines covered by AJAST. Preference will be given to applicants having publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, SCI, ESCI, PubMed, or other recognized databases. Previous peer-review or editorial experience will be considered an added advantage.

Roles and Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers play a vital role in maintaining the academic integrity, originality, and scientific quality of published manuscripts. AJAST reviewers are expected to evaluate manuscripts objectively, fairly, and confidentially while providing constructive, evidence-based, and timely review comments. Reviewers should assess the originality, methodology, technical quality, ethical compliance, clarity, and relevance of submissions and offer meaningful suggestions to improve the scientific and presentation quality of manuscripts. They are also expected to identify possible ethical concerns including plagiarism, duplication, data manipulation, or conflicts of interest while maintaining complete confidentiality of all review materials. Reviewers may be invited to evaluate manuscripts several times annually depending on their expertise and review performance. Outstanding reviewers may also be considered for Editorial Board membership or invited to contribute editorials, review articles, or special issue proposals.

Professional Expectations

Applicants should possess strong English language proficiency in academic writing and communication and must submit an updated Curriculum Vitae (CV) or professional résumé. Candidates are encouraged to provide detailed research interests, areas of expertise, and subject classifications relevant to their specialization. Applicants may also optionally submit details of publications, patents, funded projects, conference presentations, or editorial contributions. A strong commitment to publication ethics, peer-review integrity, and scholarly excellence is highly expected.

Editorial and Ethical Requirements

Selected reviewers must agree to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all submitted manuscripts and should not share, reproduce, or distribute manuscript content under any circumstances. Reviewers are expected to declare any potential conflicts of interest before accepting review assignments and provide unbiased and ethical evaluations based solely on academic merit. They should also review revised versions of manuscripts whenever required and adhere strictly to the journal’s review timelines, editorial policies, and internationally accepted publication ethics and peer-review standards.
